This weekend we were taken to the secret spot, we had to swear not to tell anyone, so we'll just let the photos speak for themselves.

A night on the town
Since leaving Vancouver a few months ago Jolene and I have been spending most of our time buried in books or digging in the garden. A couple weeks ago on an elusively warm and dry spring night we filled our our bellies with nachos and set out, beers in hand, on a walk through East Vancouver and down to the trainyards. It was an enchanting evening that closed with a visit to the Tiki Lounge at the Waldorf Hotel, where our friend Shannon was playing some fantastic records.

Lions vs. Roughriders
Last Wednesday Jolene finished her biological psychology course and we wanted to do something fun. After being a good samaritan by returning an envelope that a man dropped on the sidewalk, I was given two tickets to the Lions game at Empire Field. It wasn't much of a game, and the behaviour of the fans sharing our section left much to be desired, but after a couple Buds you can't help but jump on the bandwagon. Screw the Canucks, go Lions!
